Danisense introduces the DT series of ultra-stable, high precision (ppm class) fluxgate technology current transducers for isolated DC and AC current measurements up to 200 Arms. The devices have a 2 MHz frequency bandwidth and a primary current range of 50 A to 200 A, and they are 60% smaller than the previous product generation. The DT series current transducers use Danisense’s Fluxgate closed-loop compensated technology with fixed excitation frequency and second harmonic zero flux detection.
The components also feature excellent linearity (less than 2 ppm), a DSUB 9-pin connection, a green diode for normal operation indication, and a large 20.7 mm diameter aperture for cables and bus bars.
The DT series current transducers are ideal for applications such as high-precision power supplies for laboratories, accelerators, and medical equipment, where size is a critical factor, as power supply designs are shrinking to increase power density and lower costs. Size is also critical in embedded power measurement applications for automobiles, where fitting transducers into a compact motor and inverter environment is always a challenge. Another advantage of the DT series for such high power is its wide frequency bandwidth.
The key features of the DT series current transducers include the small size that has 60% less volume than its previous generation, large frequency bandwidth up to 2 MHz, and primary current of 50 A, 100 A, and 200 A.
