Torex Semiconductor Introduces AEC-Q100 Grade 1 Qualified LDO Regulator for Automotive Applications

Torex Semiconductor has launched a high-speed LDO regulator that is compliant with AEC-Q100 Grade 1-XD6239 series.

The XD6239 Series is a high-speed LDO regulator that achieves high precision, low noise, and excellent ripple rejection. It boasts a ripple rejection ratio of 75 dB and outstanding transient response characteristics. It operates with an input voltage range of 6V, an output current of up to 300mA, and can handle a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Furthermore, it complies with the automotive reliability standard AEC-Q100 Grade 1.

This series has an inrush current protection function that suppresses the inrush current that flows when the IC is started, and a CL discharge function that discharges the charge stored in the output capacitor (CL) when the IC is turned off, rapidly bringing the VOUT terminal voltage to the VSS level.
Additionally, it features a thermal shutdown function that halts IC operation when the chip temperature becomes too high, ensuring safe usage even in demanding automotive applications.

The XD6239 Series is available in various packages, including the leaded SOT-25 (2.9 x 2.8 x 1.3mm) and SOT-89-5 (4.5 x 4.6 x 1.6mm), as well as the leadless DFN1010-4C (1.0 x 1.0 x 0.6mm). This accommodates the trend towards miniaturization in automotive applications, such as various modules and sensors, which face space constraints due to the growing trend of electrification.
