KEMET Unveils EDLC for High Energy Storage

KEMET unveils the FCR Series surface mount supercapacitors. This newly launched capacitor has a design and material settings that are optimum for reflow soldering, allowing them to be attached to a printed circuit board (PCB) directly. They require maximum operating voltages of up to 5.5 VDC and can withstand an operating temperature of up to 85ºC. This electric double-layer capacitor (EDLC) exhibits high capacitance density (0.1 F) and offers an operational life of around 2,000 hours at 85°C, making it suitable for high-temperature environments.
