The ACT41000 from Qorvo is a Programmable DC-DC Converter that steps down a DC input voltage of 4.5-40 V to a DC output voltage of 3-24 V. This buck converter is integrated with high side and low side MOSFETs. It consists of a precise 256-step current limit that enables an MCU to detect precise quiescent drain current by eliminating a current sensor IC. This buck converter uses its on-chip oscillator clock with spread-spectrum or an external clock to perform synchronization. It has a built-in iDAC for bias detection and automatic system-level bias threshold trigger features. This converter is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 × 5 mm and is ideal for radar, satellite communication, electronic warfare, power amplifier, and continuous-wave RF applications.
