The SIPQ32433BDN-T1E3 from Vishay is an Automotive-Qualified Single Channel eFuse IC that has been designed to protect both power sources and downstream circuitries connected to the switch from over-loads, short-circuit, voltage surges, and excessive inrush current. It requires an input voltage of 2.8 - 22 V, has a voltage rating of 28 V, and a current rating of 4.5 A. This eFuse integrates multiple control and protection features to enhance controllability and reliability with simplified designs and minimal external components. It uses an external resistor to set the output current limit, an external resistor network to set over-voltage protection and under-voltage lockout threshold levels, and an external soft-start capacitor to set the inrush current levels.

This AEC-Q100-qualified eFuse IC benefits from an auto-retry feature when the IC switches OFF due to latchable faults and if there are no OTP or OVP faults. It has a retry delay time that is 32 times the soft start time set by the CSS. This e-Fuse is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for power muxing, ADAS and auto-pilot, cameras and sensors, USB hubs, hold-up power switching, and automotive infotainment applications.
