MCP14A0454 Image

The MCP14A0454 from Microchip Technology is a Non-Inverting Dual MOSFET Gate Driver IC that is ideal for pulse transformer drive, line drivers, motor and solenoid drive, switch mode power supplies, and level translator applications. It requires an input voltage of 4.7 - 18 V. This gate driver integrates voltage reference blocks, diodes, logic gates, two MOSFETs, and internal pull-up resistors. It offers enhanced control with active-high Enable functionality that allows the Enable pins to be driven at low voltage levels, which in turn drives the corresponding output of the driver IC. This IC allows the user to leave the Enable pins floating using internally embedded pull-up resistors, thereby providing standard operation.

The MCP14A0454 consists of latch-up protection that allows the IC to withstand a reverse current of up to 500 mA to prevent logic upset or short-circuit-related damages. This gate drive IC additionally provides electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection of up to 2 kV (HBM) and 200 V (MM) to all terminals to maintain operating conditions within the specified power and voltage ratings. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4.90 x 6.00 mm.
