The Si823H4AB-IS1 from Skyworks Solutions is an Automotive Qualified Symmetric Gate Driver that combines two isolated gate drivers in a single package to enable high-power applications. It requires an input voltage of 3 - 5.5 V and an input current of 1.3 mA. This gate driver is ideal for driving power MOSFETs and IGBTs used in a wide variety of switched power and motor control systems. It utilizes Skyworks’ proprietary Silicon isolation technology, supporting an isolation voltage of up to 5 kV (RMS) for 1 minute and enabling lower propagation delays and skew, little variation with temperature and age, and low part-to-part matching. This RoHS-compliant gate driver IC is equipped with over-temperature protection (OTP), output under-voltage lockout (UVLO) fault detection, and fail-safe drivers with default low in case of loss of input side power. It offers longer service life and dramatically higher reliability to opto-coupled gate drivers.

This AEC-Q100-qualified driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 4.80 x 5.80 mm and is ideal for battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, traction inverters, on-board chargers, power delivery systems, isolated DC-DC power supplies, solar, and industrial inverter applications.
