The STGAP3SXS from STMicroelectronics is a Single-Channel Isolated Gate Driver that has been designed to provide galvanic isolation between the gate driving channel, the low voltage control, and interface circuitry. It requires an input voltage of 5 - 32 V. This gate driver includes multiple options supporting source/sink current of 10 A and 6 A each of which is available with dedicated under-voltage lockout (UVLO) variants for SiC MOSFETs and IGBTs. It includes Miller Clamp and optional negative driving to ensure optimal drive performance.


This gate driver has an isolation voltage of 5.7 kV (RMS) and integrates very fast desaturation protection along with an adjustable soft turn-off feature to allow high voltage rail up to 1200 V. It features temperature shutdown protection to withstand high power dissipation during high switching speeds and gate charge. This RoHS-compliant gate driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 10.10 x 10 mm and is ideal for motor drivers for home appliances, factory automation, industrial drives, and fans, 600/1200 V inverters, battery chargers, induction heating, welding, UPS, power supply units, DC-DC converters, and power factor correction applications.
