The APT40GL120JU3 from Microchip Technology is a Buck/Chopper IGBT module that is ideal for AC and DC motor control and switched mode power supply (SMPS) applications. It has a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of up to 1200 V, a saturated collector-emitter voltage of 1.85 V, and a gate-emitter voltage of ±20 V. This RBSOA-rated IGBT module has a continuous collector current of less than 65 A and a gate-emitter leakage current of up to 400 nA. It has a power dissipation of less than 220 W. This SCSOA-rated IGBT is designed using Trench + Field Stop IGBT 4 technology which offers low voltage drop, low conduction losses, low leakage current, low switching losses, low diode forward voltage, and low leakage current. It integrates soft recovery parallel diodes and has a very low stray inductance, low junction-to-case thermal resistance, and stable temperature behavior.
