The A9910M8R from AiT Semiconductor is an AC-DC LED Driver IC that has been specifically designed for reliable operation of high-brightness (HB) LEDs. It requires an input voltage of 10 - 600 V. This LED driver operates by controlling an external MOSFET at fixed switching frequencies of up to 300 kHz using a single resistor. It features a rugged high-voltage junction isolated process that is capable of withstanding input voltage surges of up to 600 V. This driver enables dynamic output current adjustment through an external control voltage for linear dimming or a low-frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) input. It is compatible with LED strings ranging from one to hundreds of diodes.
This LED driver is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5.1 x 6.2 mm and is ideal for DC/DC and AC/DC LED driver applications, RGB backlighting, flat panel display backlighting, signage, automotive lighting, and general-purpose constant current source applications.
