The ATA6843-PLQW-1 from Microchip Technology is an Automotive-Qualified LIN System Basis BLDC Motor Driver IC that is designed for automotive applications. It requires an input voltage of 5.25 - 32 V and provides an output current of 360 mA. This motor driver benefits from the direct driving of six external NMOS transistors with a maximum switching frequency of 50 kHz. It features an integrated charge pump to provide gate drive for high-side drivers and to supply the gate of the external battery reverse protection NMOS. This AEC-Q100-qualified motor driver includes a built-in 5 V/3.3 V voltage regulator with a current limitation and a reset signal for the microcontroller. It facilitates sleep mode with a supply current of typically less than 45 µA and a wake-up via a local interconnect network (LIN) bus or high-voltage input.
This jump start-compatible motor driver includes a programmable window watchdog, battery over-voltage protection, battery under-voltage management, and over-temperature warning and protection (shutdown) features. It integrates a LIN transceiver that is conformal to LIN 2.1 and SAEJ2602-2 standards and offers outstanding EMC and ESD performance. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 7 x 7 mm.
