The HVC 5223C from TDK Corporation is an Automotive-Qualified Motor Driver IC that has been designed for three-phase brushless motor applications. It requires an input voltage of 6 - 18 V. This motor driver offers a peak phase current of up to 2 A, making it a powerful addition to the HVC 5x family. It has been designed with a focus on smaller sizes, reduced cost, and fewer external components. This AEC-Q100-qualified motor driver offers half the on-resistance and double the peak current capability compared to the HVC 5222C, and includes ARM Cortex-M3 CPU-based microcontroller with familiar motor control features and LIN bus connectivity, ensuring seamless integration. It has added features such as differential input channels, digital timers, capture-compare units, and an SPI master interface, allowing for versatile application integration. This motor driver is available in a thermally efficient surface-mount package that measures 120 x 90 mm.
