The MSC050SDA120S from Microchip Technology is an Automotive-Qualified Zero Recovery Silicon Carbide Schottky Diode that is ideal for power factor correction (PFC), anti-parallel diode, switch-mode power supply, inverters/converters motor controllers, freewheeling diode, inverters/converters, and snubber/clamp diode applications. It has a forward voltage of 1.5 V and a forward current of up to 50 A. This AEC-Q101-qualified diode has a repetitive peak reverse voltage of less than 1200 V and a reverse current of up to 200 µA. It offers a low forward voltage and leakage current to provide immunity against switching losses which imparts results in greater system reliability. This Avalanche energy-rated diode exhibits zero reverse recovery and excellent forward recovery current behavior. It offers a high switching frequency and can also be employed for low-noise (EMI) switching applications. This RoHS-compliant power diode is available in a surface-mount package that measures 18.70 x 15.85 mm.
