The LTC7890RUJM#PBF from Analog Devices is a Dual Output, Stepdown DC-DC Switching Regulator Controller that has been designed to drive all N-channel synchronous Gallium Nitride (GaN) field effect transistor (FET) power stages. It requires an input voltage of 4 - 100 V and delivers an output voltage of 0.8 – 60 V. This PMIC consists of internal smart bootstrap switches to prevent over-charging of high-side driver supplies and eliminates the need to integrate catch, clamp, or bootstrap diodes. It offers internally optimized, smart near-zero dead times or resistor adjustable dead times and includes split output gate drivers to provide accurate adjustable turn-on and turn-off driver strengths. This controller has a low quiescent current of 5 μA with a programmable frequency from 100 kHz to 3 MHz to support spread spectrum frequency modulation. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 6 x 6 mm and is ideal for industrial power systems, military avionics and medical systems, and telecommunications power system applications.
