The EP7010CR from Empower Semiconductor is a Step-Down Voltage Regulator IC that has been designed to offer the industry’s best density, efficiency, transient performance, and dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) from any system input voltage. It requires an input voltage of 1.8 V and provides an output voltage of 0.5 - 1.2 V (at 10 A). This IC offers output voltage set point accuracy of ±1% over PVT with a DVS of up to 6 mV/ns. It can be programmed to provide the desired output voltage and current, without using external discrete components while ensuring flat efficiency curves and ultra-wide bandwidth.
This regulator IC uses the I3C interface (also compatible with I2C at 28 MHz) to adjust parameters such as output voltage, soft-start time and sequencing, and phase shredding and provides highly accurate telemetry with diagnostics using SoC for enhanced protection.
