The TLF35585QUS01 from Infineon Technologies is an Automotive-Qualified Power Management IC that is ideal for electric power steering, traction inverter, engine management, domain control, and battery management applications. It requires an input voltage of 3-40 V. This AEC-Q100 Grade 0-qualified power management IC (PMIC) is a highly efficient solution that delivers optimal performance over a wide input voltage range with low power loss. It consists of a logic function, step-up and step-down pre-regulators, power supplies, serial interfaces, monitoring and diagnostics and protection circuitries. This PMIC uses 1 low drop post regulator for the microcontroller main supply and another low drop post regulator for the communication supply. It supports a 5 V voltage reference with an accuracy of ±1% for A/D converter supply.
This PMIC also incorporates two trackers for sensor supply and consumes 150 mA of current (each). It includes independent voltage and error pin monitoring blocks with configurable window/functional watchdog to ensure proper operation. This RoHS-compliant IC can be controlled through a 16-bit SPI interface that enables interrupt and reset functions. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 9 x 9 mm.
