The MM101-02ADA from Menlo Micro is an 8-Channel MEMS High Voltage Driver IC that has been designed for MEMS application where high voltage generation and driving capability are desired in a highly integrated form factor. It requires an input voltage of 4.5 - 5.5 V. This driver consists of a digital core (GPIO and SPI interface, control logic), high voltage level translators with push-pull output drivers, and a charge pump DC-DC converter. It generates and delivers high voltage signals to all the eight channel output drivers and uses the VOS and VOSET pins to fix the output voltage level either at 90 V or 80 V.
The high voltage outputs of this driver are controlled by the digital input signals either in SPI or GPIO mode and are powered from the VPP pin. It can power/control the device from the SPI interface even in a daisy-chain configuration and provides fault indications (latched SPI register bit and unlatched open-drain FLTB pin). This driver is equipped with under-voltage protection to prevent false triggers. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for displays, load/DIB for semiconductor testing, RF systems, and high voltage driver applications.
