The DA9230 from Renesas is a Buck Regulator IC that is ideal for wearables, smart devices, smoke detectors, portable medical devices, remote sensors, and high-efficiency low-power applications. It requires an input voltage of 2.5 - 5.5 V and an output voltage of 0.6 - 1.9 V. This power management IC (PMIC) consists of a buck control logic, GPO control, fault handling circuit, power MOSFETs, and an I2C interface. It has an improved battery life due to very low quiescent current delivered during both active and shutdown modes.

This regulator IC extends high light load efficiency down to 10 µA and utilizes a dynamic voltage control scheme to facilitate optimization across the system power modes, thereby further extending the battery life. It is equipped with multiple protection circuitries and event monitoring to ensure high reliability. This IC can be configured and controlled using an I2C interface. It is available in a wafer-level package that measures 1.65 x 1.25 mm.
