The TP-MS616 from Tycon Systems are 16-Port IEEE 802.3at/af-Compliant Power-Over-Ethernet Injectors that are designed to supply power and data to 16 devices via Ethernet from either a central location such as an operations room or equipment cabinet. They require an input voltage from -57 V to -42 V (DC) and 100-240 V (AC) and deliver an output power of 35 W (per port). This power-over-ethernet (PoE) injectors deliver power and data to midspan devices located at distances of up to 100 m. They include a separate data-in port that is coupled with a data-out/PoE port.
These power sources support a PC software interface that allows for the configuration of individual ports and for displaying port status through the RJ45 management port or network. They can enable or disable the ports to achieve forced PoE output (passive PoE) or IEEE 802.3at/af detection. These injectors are overloaded and short-circuit-protected to prevent current spikes or over-voltage-related damages. They are available in rack-mount packages that measure 430 x 290 x 44 mm and are ideal for wireless access points, IP phones, client devices, and security camera applications.
