The MWCT1000CFM from NXP Semiconductors is a Wireless Power transmitter Controller that has been designed to support the latest version of WPC Qi transmitter designs. It requires an input voltage of 4.2-19 V and delivers an output power of 5 W. This transmitter controller is an intelligent device that works with Freescale touch sensing technology or periodic analog PING (configurable by the user). It supports all types of receiver modulation strategies, including on-chip digital demodulation and any low-power guided positioning single coil power transmitter design using operation frequency and duty cycle control. This controller IC uses software-based solutions to control the operating frequency and duty cycle while providing an easy-to-use FreeMASTER GUI tool with configuration, calibration, and debugging functions. It is incorporated with over-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-temperature protection, and dynamic input power limit protection to prevent over-load-related damages.
This wireless transmitter also integrates an LED and a buzzer for system status indications. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 mm x 5 mm x 0.9 mm and is ideal for low-power wireless power transmitter applications.
