The P2110B from Powercast is a Wireless Charging Receiver IC that operates from 850-950 MHz. This wireless charging receiver has a configurable regulated output voltage of up to 5.5 V. It converts RF energy to DC and stores it in a capacitor. When a charge threshold on the capacitor is achieved, the receiver boosts the voltage to the set output voltage level and enables the voltage output. When the charge on the capacitor declines to the low voltage threshold the voltage output is turned off. A microprocessor can be used to optimize the power usage from the receiver and obtain other data from the component for improving the overall system operation.
This RoHS compliant receiver is available in a surface-mount package and is ideal for battery-free wireless sensors such as industrial monitoring, smart grid, defense, building automation, oil & gas, battery recharging, and low power electronics applications.
