The BD91411GW from ROHM Semiconductor is a USB Connector Interface IC that is designed to multiplex mini or micro USB interfaces. This interface IC requires an input voltage of 3.8 - 28 V. This BMIC is a complete solution that consists of two MHL/USB/UART paths, one audio path, and a monaural microphone path with a 4-to-1 multiplexer. It uses an audio switch to handle effects due to applied negative voltage signal and connects microphone signal paths to VBUS or HDPR.

This RoHS-compliant BMIC integrates power-on reset, USB charger protection, over-voltage protection (OVP), and over-current protection (OCP) to prevent short-circuit-related damages. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 x 0.85 mm and is ideal for smartphones, tablet-PC, and digital still camera applications.
