The PD-9001GR/SP/AC-UK from Microchip Technology is an IEEE 802.3at-Compliant Single-Port Power-over-Ethernet Injector that is suitable for powering current and emerging high-power applications. It requires an input voltage of 100-240 V and delivers an output power of 30 W with a data rate of 10/100/1000 Mbps (10/100/1000Base-T). This power solution is also backwards-compatible with IEEE 802.3af-compliant devices and other pre-standard devices. It can supply power to both existing 10/100Base-T network devices and emerging wireless (1000Base-T) devices such as WiMAX and wireless IEEE 802.11n access points. This single-port device also offers surge protection functionality that makes it an ideal option for installation in outdoor power delivery (PD) units. 

This WEEE-compliant power-over-ethernet (PoE) injector uses an RJ-45 Ethernet interface for powering the devices and also includes built-in system and user indicators that provide status updates on AC power and channel power. It is available as a module that measures 151 x 62 x 38 mm and is ideal for pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, video phones, and other 802.11 wireless LAN applications.
