The PD-9006G/ACDC/M-EU from Microchip Technology is an IEEE 802.3at-Compliant 6-Port Power-Over-Ethernet IC that has been specifically designed to power IEEE 802.11n and IEEE 802.3at access points, pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) and dome cameras, IP videophones, thin clients, and other high-power Ethernet end terminals. This IC requires an AC input voltage of 100 – 240 V. It has an output voltage of 55 V and delivers an output power of 450 W. This midspan PoE IC offers backward compatibility across all six ports and ensures safe operation with legacy devices and 802.3af terminals that include VoIP phones, IP cameras, and wireless LAN access points. It enables an easy and cost-effective solution for leveraging an existing ethernet infrastructure while also ensuring a future-proof network.

The PD-9006G/ACDC/M-EU includes PowerView Pro management software, remote SNMPv3, and cloud-based management software, allowing the IC to remotely manage and efficiently control the output voltage/power and other parameters via a dedicated PC. This RoHS-compliant IC is available in a rack-mount package that measures 438 x 272 x 44 mm.
