The MWCT1011CFM from NXP Semiconductors is a Wireless Charging Transmitter Controller that has been designed to meet the latest WPC Qi specifications. It delivers an output power of up to 15 W. This controller supports digital demodulation and enables two-way communication between the transmitter and receiver using frequency shift keying (FSK) and amplitude shift keying (ASK). It is compatible with different receiver modulation strategies, such as AC capacitor, AC resistor, and DC resistor methods. This transmitter features foreign object detection (FOD) through Q-factor detection and calibrated power loss measurements to ensure safe and efficient charging. It is equipped with multiple power control techniques, including frequency, duty cycle, phase difference control, and topology switching, to optimize power transfer depending on the application.

This controller features include low standby power consumption, LED indicators for system status, and built-in protection circuitries for safety against over-voltage, over-current, and over-heating. It includes a software-based solution that offers extensive design freedom and allows for unique product customization. It also comes with the FreeMASTER GUI tool, which facilitates easy configuration, calibration, and debugging, enhancing the development process. This controller is available in a through-hole package and is ideal for extended power profile power transmitters, phase difference control, and topology switching for WPC MP-Ax types or custom configuration applications.
