The STWBC-EP from STMicroelectronics is a Wireless Charging Transmitter IC that supports WPC Qi proprietary specifications. It requires an input voltage from 3 V to 5.5 V. This transmitter IC is designed to support half-bridge topology with DC-DC converter designs. It consists of an active presence detector for performing active object detection, flash and EEPROM, program memory, data memory, and RAM. This wireless charging transmitter provides a turnkey firmware solution and allows the user to customize system parameters via a GUI. It supports 10-bit ADC, UART, I2C master fast/slow speed rate, and GPIO interfaces to allow internal communication paths for devices. This RoHS-compliant transmitter IC is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for use in smartphones, tablets, and other battery-powered applications.
