The APTGT100TA120TPG from Microchip Technology Field Stop Trench IGBT is ideal for welding converters, switched-mode power supplies, uninterruptible power supplies, and motor control applications. It has a collector-emitter breakdown voltage of up to 1200 V, a gate threshold voltage of 5.8 V, and a saturated collector-emitter voltage of 1.7 V. This IGBT has a continuous collector current of up to 140 A and a peak collector current of less than 200 A. It utilizes Trench + Field Stop IGBT3 technology that offers low voltage drop, low tail current, a switching frequency of up to 20 kHz, low forward voltage for the integrated diode, and a low leakage current.
This RBSOA/SCSOA-rated IGBT has a low stray inductance, owing to its symmetrical design and integrated lead frames for power connection. It includes solderable terminals for easy PCB mounting and enables direct mounting to heatsink. This RoHS-compliant IGBT has an internal thermistor to provide temperature monitoring. Each leg of this IGBT can be easily paralleled to achieve a phase leg that is three times the current capability. It is available in a module that measures 108 x 93 x 17.1 mm.
