The TLF35585QVS01 from Infineon Technologies is an Automotive-Qualified Functional Safety Power Management IC that is ideal for electric power steering, traction inverter, domain control, engine management, and battery management applications. It requires an input voltage of 3-40 V. This AEC-Q100 Grade 0-qualified power management IC (PMIC) has been developed as per the ISO 26262 standard, targeting systems supporting up to ASIL D standard. It includes a boost-buck pre-regulator that supplies power to the post voltage regulator rails for powering the microcontroller, communication operation, and precise voltage reference generation. This IC also integrates two voltage trackers to deliver the necessary power to off-board sensors.
This PMIC has a configurable window watchdog for time-based triggering and functional watchdog for question/answer-based triggering. It is also equipped with other protection mechanisms such as error pin monitoring, voltage monitoring, and major supervision functions. This RoHS-compliant power management IC is available in a surface-mount package that measures 7 x 7 mm.
